Mobiscope: The All-Seeing Eye

The All-Seeing Eye.  Mysterious.  Enigmatic. It has long been the symbol used by the ancient Egyptians and the Free Masons alike. The true meaning of the symbol is still elusive however.

On the other hand, SHAPE Services’ application Mobiscope brings the literal meaning of the All-Seeing Eye on mobile.

Mobiscope is essentially  a surveillance app that lets you view in REAL TIME your USB and IP cameras on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. If you are worried about leaving your child/pet alone in the house, need to spy on your enemies, or want to figure out who keeps on stealing your afternoon snack(*insert a very angry face right here*), Mobiscope truly is the perfect application for you. Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner Pro

Nowadays, a lot of people don’t cook their own meals at home.  Some find themselves too busy, others too poor to afford good food (I’m talking to my fellow college students here), and still others who are afraid of burning their house down.  It all boils down to the belief that cooking is a boring, difficult, esoteric, and overall displeasing experience.  But with the Dinner Spinner Pro app from Allrecipes.com, cooking makes its way back into the list of desirable forms of dining.  This app is a fun take on choosing recipes to prepare and makes cooking easy by providing all the steps for making a great meal.

Packing is an activity that can be a lot more painful than necessary and can last a really long time. I have the tendency to pack what I think I need once and then overdo it, run out of space in my bag and get so confused at what I have packed and what I haven’t, that I empty the bag and start all over again. Therefore, I hate packing, I think its a waste of time and really kind of a pain. Here is an app that will organize everything before it hits the suitcase and as a result, will allow you to pack more efficiently and without taking up so much time.

I have tried to quit this game, to turn on my iphone without automatically being drawn to playing it. But I just can’t, the game is too addictive. I thought at the very least I could share with you my new obsession.

Eco App of the Week: Eco Chef

Most people think that going green involves significant lifestyle alterations. Well, Eco Chef proves them wrong, and that an eco-friendly approach can start right in your kitchen. The app is brought to you by celebrity chef Bryan Au, and displays many step-by-step videos of how to prepare 10-minute (or less!) recipes that are just as good for your waste line as they are for the environment. The recipes are based on comfort classics and junk-food favorites, but utilize organic foods and cooking techniques that are eco-friendly. Over 100 recipes, drawing inspiration from cuisines all over the world, are showcased through the app, and many of them were created specifically for Eco Chef by Bryan Au! What’s more is the app allows you to interact with the chef himself through the “Bryan Live” feature, so you essentially have a chef at your fingertips! Even if you’re not completely sold on living a green lifestyle, this app is still worthwhile to have because of its nutritious and delicious suggestions and recipes. The fact that it can help the environment is just one heck of a bonus!

There is nothing like the feeling of holding a guitar for the first time, its heavy, awkward and all around uncomfortable. The more you practice, the more the instrument becomes an extension of your limbs and you start to wonder how you ever existed without it. This, to me is the best thing about learning an instrument and taking the time to master the craft of the instrument. However, here is an app that allows you to learn how to play the instrument without even holding a guitar.
